Upon closer look, you can see how much work we had ahead of us, but at the time, it seemed like an adventure. It truly was a long summer vacation at first, the weather being nice and warm (HOT) on some days. Our only air conditioning was the creek out in back. We would go down for a dip, and then come back in for lunch and a nap in front of the fan.

I've never seen these pictures. Its amazing how much more open everything was, so much less developed.
