Waiting...

This is where Nessa waits patiently and gracefully while the noisy vaccum cleaner runs around the house.

"Is it done yet?"

Quilt Interrupted

Well, its seems that life really does go on eventually. Laid out on the floor, is quilt squares that I cut out about 6 months before the flood. I had put them in a ziploc bag and it was high on a shelf above the water line. So here was a project that survived. It has passed thru my hands many many times in the past 5+ years. Then one day it didn't get passed over and returned to a box. I brought the bag in the house and started to work on it. It truly has been quite an experience.
The red fabric is a Raggedy Ann and Andy fabric that I mixed with blue and green ginghams. After I finished it, I went on line to see what Raggedy Ann and Andy are up to these days. Well it turns out that Raggedy Ann turns 95 years old this year. Thanks Nessa (the cat) for blessing the quilt!

Making Housecleaning Cute~

A few weeks ago while looking through a harriet carter catalog I made a comment of how I thought it would be fun to have a little smock for doing housework.

Next thing I know last week mom gives me one she found in a local store.

Its even cuter than the ones I was looking at!

Yummy and cute!
Thanks Mom! ♥

Does this mean I get to treat myself with a cupcake after I do housework? hehe

With this smock I gain the power to do all my housework chores with a smile!

Its working already!!

Have a great day and keep looking for things that inspire you to smile.~

Hey Mom, look at this Master Gardener!

Tom is standing next to the Mimosa Tree that used to sit on your kitchen window sill when it was just a seedling.

In this shot you can see both trees. And Yes, those trees are as tall as Tom's Chest. Imagine how tall they will be at the end of summer. This photo is taken about in front of the old quonset hut, facing towards the Grimms fence. Structure in background is the cat pen.

And back in April

The wisteria was a blooming all along the top of the fence.
Really pretty along the top of the roses as well.
