Old Photo Sunday---Ma McCoy

Today's photo is of Harvey and his big orange truck. He would come to visit now and then. One time our next door neighbor, Ma McCoy asked me if she could go for a ride in that big ole truck. Harvey was happy to help. So this is Ma McCoy at age 82 climbing into the semi truck. She was amazing. I chose this photo because it was 23 years ago this past week that she passed on. She was a wonderful neighbor to have. We weeded flower beds together, gave each other plants, and we would always say hi, when we would be out at our mailboxes. She always gave you more than you could give her. I will always remember the first time we met, the day after we moved in, she came over to introduce herself bringing with her a half gallon of milk and a box of cereal. We were very blessed to know her.

Guest Blogger- Things of the day

Tom had fun with his camera this week, taking a few photos of his day. What fun is must be to walk while working. Any guesses?

Old Photo Sunday

This is a photo of Tom's sister, Margaret. On the back of the photo written in her Mother's hand is, " Margaret and her wash." Clotheslines are the best and a baby's wash is even better. Maybe you could make a card out of this Margaret.

Two Apple Presses

Last week-end we had family company. Margaret and John, they brought with them a very old apple press that had been Tom and Margaret's Grandparents. It is neat and old looking. As luck would have it, I went thru the stack of bread wrapper pictures (also from their Grandparents) Imagine how I giggled when I saw this little apple press picture. It seemed a perfect way to say what's happening around here.
